Message from the President

Dear Colleagues,

I write with a brief update to convey that I am very grateful that draft budgets were submitted to deans and vice presidents on Friday, May 24. Deans and vice presidents have now been asked to submit a comprehensive budget for the units or departments in their areas by May 31. At this time, a small working group (that includes Tiffany Soublet, Taryn Chevis, Mamie Gasperecz, Darrell Kruger, and me) will review these budgets carefully and work collaboratively to develop a draft of the total university budget. Our goal is to have the total budget completely drafted by June 24, but we should be in a position to begin sharing updates on areas that have been targeted for reductions or reorganizations by the second week in June. We thank you for your patience, and I would like to remind everyone of the website that has been created to share information about our budget alignment efforts

Sincerely,

Kathy Johnson, Ph.D.
