LSU New Orleans offers graduate programs across six areas: Business, Arts, Education, Science and Engineering, Humanities and Social Science, and Planning and Urban Studies. Programs include master's degrees, doctoral degrees, and graduate certificates. See the full programs page for a complete list with deadlines and requirements for each.

Graduate admission is a two-part process. First, you apply to the Graduate School, which requires a conferred bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and a minimum GPA. Second, each degree program has its own additional requirements, which may include letters of recommendation, a statement of purpose, or a writing sample. GRE and GMAT scores are no longer required for most programs, but some departments still ask for them. Check your specific program's page to confirm what is needed.

Graduate students may be eligible for Graduate School scholarships, which are awarded based on faculty nomination through your program's graduate coordinator. Graduate assistantships are also available through individual departments, with positions working either 10 or 20 hours per week. Additional funding opportunities include external grants, federal financial aid, and program-specific awards. Contact your graduate program coordinator to learn what funding options are available for your field.

Graduate application deadlines vary by program and term. Spring deadlines generally fall between October and December, and fall deadlines run from February through July, with multiple cutoff dates depending on your program. Because each program sets its own deadlines, check your specific program's page for the dates that apply to you.
