You can apply online through the LSU New Orleans application portal. Freshman applicants need to submit high school transcripts, meet a minimum GPA requirement, and complete a high school core curriculum. Test scores may be required depending on your situation, though some applicants can substitute Accuplacer placement scores instead. Check the admissions page for current fee information and any available waivers.
Deadlines vary by term. There is a priority deadline for scholarship and grant consideration, and a separate final application deadline for enrollment. Applying by the priority deadline gives you the best chance at scholarship consideration. Check the deadlines page for the most current dates.
Cost of attendance depends on whether you are an in-state or out-of-state student, and whether you live on or off campus. Estimates cover tuition, fees, books, room and board, transportation, and personal expenses. A net cost calculator is available to help estimate your actual out-of-pocket cost after financial aid is applied.
LSU New Orleans offers merit-based institutional scholarships for new, incoming transfer students based on GPA. Additional funding opportunities are available through federal financial aid, and all students are strongly encouraged to complete the FAFSA. Louisiana residents may also qualify for the state TOPS scholarship. See the scholarships page for current eligibility requirements and award details.
