David C. Podgorski

David C. Podgorski received a B.S. in Chemistry at Gardner-Webb University and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry at Florida State University. He continued as a Postdoctoral Associate at the National MagLab. Research focuses on the origin, transport, processing, toxicity, and fate of organic contaminants in aquatic ecosystems. David began as an Assistant Professor at the University of New Orleans Department of Chemistry and Pontchartrain Institute of Environmental Sciences in 2017 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2023. He also has an appointment as an Affiliate Professor of Chemistry at the University of Alaska Anchorage.
