About

James W. Logan is a Professor of Strategic Management in the Department of Management at the University of New Orleans. He earned B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Louisiana State University and a Masters in Public Administration from Texas Christian University.

During his time in the College of Business Administration at UNO, he has served as Dean, The G. John and Margaret Veta Professor in Strategic Management, Associate Dean, MBA Program Director, Director of Executive Education programs, and Chair of the Graduate Programs Committee. He is a past president of the Southwest Academy of Management, and past chair of the University of New Orleans Research and Technology Park faculty advisory committee.

Professor Logan has been involved in developing and teaching in several programs at UNO, including the MBA Executive program and its branch programs in Kingston, Jamaica, and San Juan, Puerto Rico, the Masters in Engineering Management program, and the MS in Health Care Administration.

Research Interests

The effect of technological change on business strategy, increasing effectiveness of technology-oriented teams in complex environments, risk perception, and its effect on decision-making.
