Neal Maroney

At UNO since 1996. Dr. Maroney's current empirical research focuses on the information content of accounting ratios in predicting equity market returns in seven industrialized countries. In another empirical investigation he is reexamining the anomalous behavior of equity market returns surrounding the announcement of stock-splits and dividends. On the theoretical side, he is working on the question of how the aging populations of the industrialized world affect equity market risk premia. Dr. Maroney teaches undergraduate courses in corporate finance and macroeconomics, and an advanced graduate course in investments.
