Scott Phillips

Dr. Scott Phillips teaches undergraduate healthcare management. He conducted postgraduate studies at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in Population Health Management. He holds a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree, which he earned in 2021. He was honored with the prestigious Harold W. Colmery Award and Beta Gamma Sigma honors induction, reflecting his exemplary research, dedication, and leadership in business administration.

Before entering academia Scott served and retired as a Hospital Corpsman First Class in the United States Navy. During his military service he obtained various certifications and accolades, including a Juris Master degree with the Worlds Ahead Graduate award in 2018, Plans Operations and Medical Intelligence at Naval Medical Leader and Professional Development Command in 2014, and his Master of Science in Healthcare Management under Sigma Iota Epsilon honors in 2013. He was awarded the Navy-Marine Corps and Army Commendation medals and the Navy Achievement Award.

Dr. Phillips' experience extends to civilian healthcare, where he held positions such as Military Health and Resilience Market Development Manager, Director of Operations, Territory Manager, and Senior Healthcare Recruiter. He has showcased his research at conferences including the ACHE National Congress and Humana Population Health Summit, Jacksonville.
