Faculty Council

LSU New Orleans Faculty Council consists of all full-time faculty at LSU New Orleans, and is the oldest faculty governance body at LSU New Orleans, dating back to the University's founding.

The Faculty Council or its standing committees have coordinating authority in all mattes involving the establishing of curricula, the fixing of standards of instruction, the determining of requirements for degrees, and generally the determining of the educational policy of LSU New Orleans in all matters affecting more than a single college, school, or division, and shall advise the administration in other matters as appropriate.

Standing Committees of LSU New Orleans Faculty Council include the LSU New Orleans Faculty Senate, the University Courses and Curricula Committee, and the General Education Committee.
