FAQs About Passwords

  • How many passwords do I have?

LSU New Orleans faculty, staff, and student accounts get a single password for services like Email, LAN, and Workday. When you update your LSU New Orleans password, it also changes for all of your LSU New Orleans applications (such as Canvas, Email, and LSU New Orleans Wifi access, etc.). Remember, IT never ask for your password by email. You won't get emails from us asking for password or account details.

  • How do I get my username and password?

Every account has the same username and starting password. New students get this info in a welcome email sent to their personal email. You can also get your username and password by reaching out to the IT Help Desk, either in person, by phone, or through our chat.

  • As a student, how do I get my outlook email account, and how do I log into it?
