Are you an incoming undergraduate student for Spring 2027? If yes, then you are in the right place for your new student onboarding/orientation.
Our New Student Experience Day is designed to get you advised, register for classes, and welcomed into the university with all of the knowledge you need to have a great first semester!
Part 1: New Student Experience Day
By attending the New Student Experience Day on January 7th, you will get familiar with campus, learn about LSU New Orleans resources, get advised, and enroll in classes.
This event is for admitted undergraduate students. NSE Day is required for first-time, first-year students and transfer students with less than 60 credit hours.
If you are unable to attend this event, please contact the Office of Orientation and Transition Programs at [email protected] to learn about our Alternative Registration Pathway.
The link to sign up for this event will be emailed out to admitted students in late October 2026.
If you have been admitted and have not received the link to sign up by November 1st 2026, please email [email protected] to request the sign up link.
To ensure a smooth NSE Day, please make sure you complete the Accepted Student Check-List by January 4th.
Part 2: Online Orientation Modules
The Online Orientation Modules are a supplemental guide to help you get started at LSU New Orleans! New students are required to complete the Modules by January 22nd, 2027. You can only complete the modules AFTER you enroll in Spring 2027 classes.
How to complete the modules:
To gain credit for completing the modules, you must read through each of the pages. If you need to stop and come back later, click Modules in the left course navigation menu to find your place and continue where you left off. It should take about 30 minutes to complete.
